Personalized Attention
In many clinics, first you are attended by a commercial, then you are attended by a doctor for a treatment, and the next time another one, and so on.
This means a loss of time and money for the patient. And what the patient wants are immediate results, but effective and lasting.
A personalized treatment and maintenance is needed to get excellent results.
When asking for information about Aesthetic Blepharoplasty, Dr José González Vidal (Director of the Ocular Microsurgery Centre of Valencia) will explain you everything in your first visit, he will perform the operation, and follow your evolution, and will help you in any doubt before and after the treatment.
INFORMATION FOR THE PATIENT
BEFORE
- No preparation is needed.
- Only a recent blood test, made before the last 3 months, is needed.
- A picture sent by email can be used for a first assessment. The doctor will tell you the most proper procedure for your case.
For those patients who come from abroad, in the first visit, the details of your case would be considered the same day of the operation.
THE PROCEDURE
1. Anaesthetic drops are placed and local anaesthetic is infiltrated.
2. Protective contact lenses are placed. This way the cornea and the whole eyeball are totally protected. Besides, as the contact lens is opaque, the patient cannot see, and will not feel anything during the procedure.
3. The operation last around 20 minutes.
4. After an ice mask is worn for 10 minutes, the patient can go with his/her eyes uncovered.
AFTER
- Ice must be placed in the area the day after the procedure.
- Some antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops the days after the procedure.
- There is no need in taking painkillers, since the recovery is not painful.
- As there are no external stitches, the recovery is faster and easy.
